Perhaps my favourite type of work. Every project stretches my creativity - a growing family, an art collection, a passion for mid-century furniture or too much furniture..., a love of colour (or lack of it) .... the end result has to be the same. A liveable, happy home.
Results driven - I start with the end objective. What does the client want to achieve? Stunning photography to promote the product, an immediate rental, selling a house or flats? Working to a budget or a deadline - success is an imperative to adding value to the project.
Not all projects require an interior design approach. There are clients who simply want advice on how to update a room, what furniture to replace or a colour scheme, where to hang paintings or a specification to give the architect or builders. Sometimes it is as simple as 'a problem shared is a problem halved'.
An empty property can mean a loss of income. Focusing on the rental market, we can renovate, furnish and produce a full inventory for immediate rental. The quicker the better in most cases.
"I have used the services of Jette Anderson for a number of projects, returning to her repeatedly because of the high level of design, time/budget management, coordination with architects and commitment to the projects. From basic finishes in paint colour, soft furnishings and lighting, to individually sourced innovative furniture pieces and bespoke designs, Jette has been able to create and then recreate wonderful environments in which to live for myself and family, using both newly sourced and existing pieces. A complete and professional service from start to finish and a pleasure to work with."
"I had used Jette on previous projects so it was natural to enlist her help on a new build apartment in which they could help identify and give new life to existing pieces of furniture. We did a single site visit in which all major decisions were taken including the positioning of furniture and floor coverings. Jette sourced some beautiful soft furnishings and decorative items to create a perfect alpine home. I am thrilled with the result and am delighted to have had another excuse to work with Jette."
"Managing the renovation and refurbishment of a 6000 sq ft Surrey home was a daunting task and I was grateful for my collaboration with Jette. It was a pleasure to work with an interior designer who 'listened' to their client, could stick to a budget but also committed to style of high quality and a brilliant understanding of colour schemes and placing of furniture. The end result was a beautiful and welcoming family home that is a joy to live in. Thank you"
I started my career in the branding sector (corporate and retail), and it evolved into interior design. I learnt the importance of an environment that is relevant for the end user. Whether residential or commercial design my works reflects an ability to interpret the client’s vision.
Projects include property in the UK and abroad and are therefore not always ‘on the doorstep’. I can work virtually, visiting the site as little or often as the client feels appropriate, and therefore not spending unnecessary amounts on travel.
Delivering a project on time and on budget is a significant part of my role as their interior designer, as well as a comprehensive and eclectic supplier address book. I have a deep respect for my suppliers and count on their expertise to achieve my vision and the best creative solution for my client.
It is my clients’ that enable my creativity, commissioning me to work on their own interesting and diverse projects. Some clients enjoy a riot of colour and natural products, whereas others want simplicity. The secret and the joy of my job is getting to understand their vision. Some of my work is represented in my portfolio, but not all, as for some I remain a guarded secret!
